Solaris is a series of light sculptures in a direct interpretation of Plato's cave (the Allegory of the Cave), where the cavern, through the interplay of light and shadows, generates a series of images inside, creating a distinct reality compared to the outside world. These ceramic sculptures were conceived with this idea in mind—a cavern that breathes life into shapes and images, forging its own apparent reality. With these specific sculptures, the forms come alive through light, and an entirely different object emerges from the interplay of light and shadows against the ceramic textures. Through light, these objects acquire a different reality, perspective, and even an altered emotional connection. A container suddenly resembles a volcano with the light interference. This connection parallels the ability of an archaic technology to reproduce a distinct reality beyond the apparent forms of the sculptures themselves, as Plato's Cave tells us through the fire activated inside the cavern.
